Abstract

An apparatus for the automatic photometric analysis of small specimens, by which measurements of transmission, absorbance and fluorescence can be taken. The apparatus includes a carrier (1) with wave guide paths (3, 4) provided therein, sections of the wave guide surface being in optical contact with at least one specimen (6, 7, 8, 9) and means in the carrier (1) for coupling electromagnetic radiation into each of the waveguide paths (3, 4). The carrier (1) can be secured to a conveying means for establishing contact with means for specimen preparation and after-treatment. <IMAGE>
