Abstract

Friction is increased between planetary rolls and a product to be roiled in a rolling mill by utilising rolls whose reduction zones 1 are provided with grooves 4 whose depth varies from 0.05 to 5 m.m. Thus the slipping of the rolls is prevented, and at the same time the product under treatment obtains a smoother outer surface than before. <IMAGE>
