Abstract
The present invention relates to a device for controlling the supply of oil to a cooling and freezing plant which includes a number of freezing compressors (14-17) and a number of cooling compressors (26-31), whereby the cooling medium preferably is of a type wherein oil is mixed with or floating on top of cooling medium liquid. In order to better ensure that each compressor during operation receives predetermined amounts of oil, the freezing and cooling devices (11, 23) include an oil collecting and portioning device (52, 57) which is adapted to collect oil from the cooling medium vapour flowing to the suction collecting pipe(s) (13, 25), and to portion predetermined amounts of oil into the suction collecting pipe(s) when the oil level in the oil collecting and portioning device (52, 57) has reached a certain limit.
