Abstract

A respective landing (36.1, 36.2) is connected securely to the upper and lower ends of a staircase (30.1, 30.2) which is arranged in a staircase bay (TF), lying adjacent continuous scaffolding, outside the main scaffolding bay (GF). The passage between staircase bay (TF) and scaffolding bay (GF) is free from banisters at least in the region of the landings (36.2, 36.3). A banister (37.1 to 37.4) which extends substantially parallel to the staircase stringers (32.1, 35.1, 35.4) and their supports is provided on the outside of the staircase bay (TF). Several staircases (30.1, 30.2), considered in ground plan, are arranged one above the other so that the scaffolding floor (18.1) lying therebeside serves as connection path to the next-higher or next-lower staircase (30.2, 30.1). A bracket landing links on to the topmost landing (36.4) of the staircases and extends into the next longitudinal bay of scaffolding. At this level a conventional banister (39.3) is provided on the outside of the main scaffolding adjacent the staircase bay (TF). <IMAGE>
