Abstract

PURPOSE: To remove crosstalk clue to parasitic capacity by impressing a required voltage level from a data signal to a data line for a 1st period in the period of a scanning line energization signal, impressing a correction voltage level for a 2nd period so as to supply almost fixed RMS voltage during the 1st and 2nd periods. CONSTITUTION: A crosstalk correction method indicated in the period T1 +T2 is applied to binary display. Namely when a scanning line (n) is in an active state (the first half of the period T1 ), '1' is written in pixel electrodes. Since the scanning line (n) is not in the active state in the latter half of the period T1 , writing in the pixel electrodes is not executed. In the case of writing a binary value '0' in the same pixel cells in the period T1 , a reverse state is generated. Thus fixed RMS voltage is supplied to a data line (m) during the period T1 . Consequently crosstalk can be removed.
