Abstract

In the case of tools, such as motorised chain saws, an oil pump whose pump-plunger stroke can be adjusted via a control pin may be provided for lubrication of the saw chain. The pump plunger is to be mounted on two sides so as to be of low wear and controlled, in a manner constrained in terms of stroke, with continuous stroke adjustment. For this purpose, the pump plunger has a first and a second control surface which lie on opposite sides of the control pin in a manner free from play, and a bearing collar rotatably supported in a bearing bore.
