Abstract

Insertable hatch-cover arrangement, in particular for a container ship with container guideways (14, 17) located above and below the weather deck. The object of the invention comprises creating an insertable hatch-cover arrangement which only requires a minimal interruption of the container guideways above the weather deck and relatively little cost and effort, and ensures reliable operation. According to the invention, several hatch-cover sections are hinged together by joints and are provided with a device for limiting the folding angle(s) that ensue when the arrangement is lifted by a load suspension means. Sliding and guide elements are located on the insertable hatch-cover and the coaming for proper positioning of the cover when removed/replaced. In the region of the interruptions of the container guideways there are pilot flares or adapters hinged to the container guideways and actuable by the folding motion of the insertable hatch-cover. <IMAGE>
