Abstract

The turning tool (80) is provided with an indexable insert (W). So that snug fitting of the side faces of this insert in the recess (81) of the turning tool is ensured, a rocker (84) forms a self-adjustable, lateral bearing face for the insert. Despite careful manufacture, indexable inserts of this type sometimes have angle errors and/or uneven side faces. This has led to problems.
