Abstract

Protection of metals against corrosion. The composition forming the subject of the invention is of the type consisting of chromium, aluminium oxide and an ammonium halide and is characterised in that it additionally contains molybdenum boride or carbide, the proportions of the constituents in the said composition being the following (mass %): ammonium halide 0.75 to 1.5 molybdenum boride or carbide 2.0 to 4.0 chromium 67.0 to 82.0 aluminium oxide 12.5 to 30.0. The said composition can find applications in corrosion protection of components and equipment employed in the chemical industry.
