Abstract

A fluid connector for an actuating piston and cylinder device 23 comprises a first part 5 having a screw threaded portion 3 for fixing it to the actuating cylinder 4, a fluid channel 6 for communicating with the cylinder 4 and a cavity 13 extending normally to the screw threaded portion 3 for receiving a connecting portion 12 of a second removable part 9 containing a fluid actuated device 10 such as an electric switch or a valve. The second part 9 is removably held in the cavity 13 of the first part 5 by a fastening device 14 and contains seals 15, 18 for isolating the fluid channel 6 from the atmosphere and from the fluid actuated device 10. The output from the fluid actuated device 10 is dependent on the fluid pressure F1 in the fluid channel 6 and a fluid pressure F2 which is dependent on the state of the actuating piston and cylinder device 23 e.g. when the piston reaches the end of its stroke. <IMAGE>
