Abstract
Crosslinkable- or crosslinked insulating compsn. for intermediate to high voltage cables comprises: (a) an ethylene/ alkyl (meth)acrylate copolymer contg. 0.1-8 wt.% of acrylate and (b) a similar copolymer contg. 13-35 wt.% of acrylate. The compsn. contains 6-40 wt.% of (b), based on total wt. of (a)+(b). - Pref. the compsn. contains a crosslinking agent, esp. an organic peroxide. The acrylate portion of both copolymers is ethyl-or n-butyl acrylate. The acrylate content in (a) is 0.8-5 wt.% and in (b) is 15-30 wt.%.
