Abstract

The general purpose electrical cable has at least one flat surface. The cable may have a flat form or have an almost completely circular cross-section with one flat plane which has an adhesive layer allowing the cable to be attached to walls, panels etc. without the use of cleats. The adhesive (4) is acrylic and is protected before use by a peel-off strip (5). Junctions and interconnections between cables are made via rectangular connector blocks having a similar adhesive layer. The blocks have slots allowing the terminals to be crimped onto the incoming conductors.
