Abstract

A decorative laminate, suitable as flooring, comprises (a) a substrate, (b) bonded to the substrate a printed layer of absorbent particles of PVC of GP type, with particle size 0.15-0.58mm, and opt. (c) a layer of transparent synthetic organic polymer bonded to layer (b). The printed parts of layer (b) are printed through. Pref. the substrate (a) may have a flexible base, bonded to a layer of foamed PVC, or may be a resin-impregnated fibrous felt. In layer (b), the particles may have a cell classification=4. The plasticiser absorption of the particles may be above 40. The particles may be pigmented. Layer (c) may be of PVC. The laminate may have a layer printed with a foamed or non-foamable vinyl plastisol printing ink. B
