Abstract

A pressure reduction chamber for ventilation arrangements, designed for connection to a ventilation duct system and consisting of a housing 2 for connection to the inlet pipe 1 of the ventilation duct system, inside which housing there is, in the continuation of the inlet pipe, an inner chamber 3 provided with holes, such as, for example, a pipe section of the same size as the diameter of the inlet pipe, which delivers a uniform air flow into the housing and onward from the housing into the space which is to be ventilated. The shortcoming of previously known pressure-reduction chambers of this type is that they are generally very loud at high volume flows. The pressure-reduction chamber according to the invention has two pressure measurement chambers 4, 5 with one or more openings which open from one pressure measurement chamber 4 to the inner side of the inner chamber 3 and from the other pressure measurement chamber 5 to the outer side 3 of the inner chamber and into the space in the house 2. <IMAGE>
