Abstract

A thermostat changeover switch (3), dependent upon a limit value for outside temp. , is connected to one of two activating branches (A, B,) for the switch-on impulse, with different time delay when the external temp. is higher or lower than the limit value. The limit value is adjusted to between 5 and 10 deg. C. , and the time delay for the switch-on impusle, when the external temp. is higher than the limit value, is around 5 seconds. When the outside temp. is lower than the limit value, the time delay is approx. 30 minutes. The activation branch (A) comprises a switch-on delay relay (5), the end contact (6) of which forms part of a current circuit. The branch (B) applicable where the external temp. is lower than the limit value, comprises a switch-off delay relay (8), the contacts (10). The relay exchange contact (9) alternatively connects one of two switch-on delay relays (5, 11) with different delays the end contacts (6, 12) of which form part of the current circuit.
