Abstract

Each electrical heating unit has a switch-off signal receiver (9) and a component for switching off radiators (3,4). The radiators have integral bi-metal thermostats (6) with compensation and acceleration elements (7,8). The switch off components (11), when the radiators are switched off from the electrical mains, connect the radiators to a local voltage source with a higher voltage than that of the mains. This causes the compensation element to heat the bi-metals to a temp. higher than normal in order to retard their switching on after the switch-off period has ceased. The switch-off component in each case is a contactor, the contact of which breaks higher voltage to the compensation elements (7).
