Abstract

The invention relates to a process and a device for steam or liquid treatment of workpieces. According to the invention the workpieces to be treated are subjected simultaneously to two mutually superimposed movements in different directions through the treatment solvent. In a preferred version of the invention the workpieces to be treated are rotated in the treatment solvent simultaneously about two mutually perpendicular shafts. The invention also encompasses a mechanism with which the workpieces to be treated are rotated about a driven first or primary shaft 19, which in turn is mounted on a second, also rotatable, shaft or secondary shaft 7. Both shafts rotate simultaneously and are driven by a driving source. The invention also includes the mechanism for the simultaneous rotation of the shafts 19 and 7. <IMAGE>
