Abstract

A cylindrical star-point load selector for tapped transformers having a tapped cylindrical winding which is arranged centrally and can be rotated in steps. The tapped cylindrical winding supports the moving contact systems, which are arranged one below the other, of each phase as well as the transition impedances which are arranged in at least one winding around the tapped cylindrical winding, on insulating supports which are mounted on the tapped cylindrical winding. In the region of the contact systems and of the impedance windings, the tapped cylindrical winding consists of a metallic tubular piece connected to the star-point potential and of an insulating material tubular piece which holds the insulation at earth. The two tubular pieces are connected to one another by plugging them into one another, the overlapping point of the two tubular pieces being located approximately at the level of the highest contact system, and at least some of the connecting elements which hold this contact system passing through the walls of the two tubular pieces.
