Abstract

This drive is so designed that it functions with coupled output at low speeds and in two or three-point adaptive operation at high speeds. It has at least one third element (12) with variable displacement, which is constantly mechanically connected to the output shaft (S) or to a shaft coupled to another drive axle of the vehicle, a high pressure hydraulic accumulator (13) and a hydraulic block (14) for the alternative connecting up of the third element (12), the main hydraulic circuit (C) and the accumulator (13) depending on whether the drive is functioning in purely traction operation, in operation with recovery or re-delivery of the brake energy or in hybrid operation.
