Abstract

A two-part leisure chair includes a back support part, a seat part and legs. The back support part (1) consists of a ladder like component made of two parallel ribs (3,4) which are connected to each other by an upper and a lower connector (5,6), so that the ribs' (3,4) lower ends are the front legs of the chair and the upper ends carry a back support (9). The seat part (2) consists of an independent ladder like component, made of two parallel ribs (11,12) connected by an upper connector (13) and a lower crosspiece (14), which can be folded in between the back support's (1) ribs (3,4). The upper ends of the seat part ribs (11, 12) serve as fixtures for the seat (15) and their lower ends form the back chair legs. The lower ends of the seat part (2) ribs (11,12) are wedge-shaped so that, when the chair has been folded and hung up on the highest crosspiece (10), a turning moment is created on the seat part (2) by which the seat part is retained in its position between the back support part's (1) ribs (3,4).<IMAGE>
