Abstract

Industrial robots employ a lifting and lowering support plate 10, which by means of a number of rollers carries a horizontal extensible support arm 15 in the form of a straight rail. According to the invention, the rollers 11, 12 have wedge-shaped grooves 16, 17 for guiding of corresponding wedge-shaped upper and lower edges 20, 21 of the support arm. One of the rollers in each pair 11, 12 consists of two spring-loaded halves 11A, 11B which can move axially relative to each other, while the other roller 12 can be adjusted by an excentre arrangement 28, 29, 32, 33 to regulate the distance between the rollers in the particular pair and thus the contact pressure of the spring-loaded halves against the edge of the support arm and thereby obtain a guiding free of play. <IMAGE>
