Abstract

Apparatus for automatically feeding and loading ammunition into a gun barrel (4) from a magazine situated in the interior of a vehicle, which includes a lifting device (8). The lifting device (8) consists of a telescopic column (9) and a swivelling device (10). A cartridge receiver (11) is situated on one end of the swivelling device and serves as a loading tube and comprises both retaining claws for the cartridge and a rammer (12). The arrangement of the lifting device (8) in the charging position and during the upward movement before swivelling is such that the distance (a) between the elevation axis and the traverse axis of the gun barrel (4) is small. A band magazine (17) is arranged in the crew cabin (71 asymmetrically about the prolonged bore axis of the gun barrel (4). Alternatively (Fig. 3, not shown), two magazine drums (18, 18') are provided, one on each side of the axis. <IMAGE>
