Abstract

A gas containment system comprises a pressure vessel 60 in which gas absorbing solid particles are located in a plurality of closed containers as 20 in Figure 1 permeable to the gas. The system is particularly suitable for the storage of hydrogen on hydridable metals. <IMAGE>
