Abstract

The valve is intended to automatically regulate the filling of liquid to the desired level in a container, for example the flush cistern of a lavatory. A flow- regulating damping body 9 in the inlet 1 to the valve housing 5 ensures an even flow, and this, together with the design of the rest of the valve, results in a very low level of noise emitted by the valve. The main cone 18 of the valve is formed as a membrane with a central leak hole 29 and adjoins a pressure chamber 28 from which liquid runs off when a servo-valve cone 25 is opened under the action of a part 36 of a float-controlled sleeve surrounding the valve housing 5. The flow of liquid is guided to the inside of the sleeve 35 through a tube piece 21 and a flange 34. Holes 38 are formed in the upper part of the sleeve 35 to protect against backflow. <IMAGE>
