Abstract

1517992 Aqueous polyesterimide insulating enamel DR BECK & CO AG 17 Feb 1976 [19 Feb 1975] 6236/76 Heading C3R A water-diluted electrically-insulating enamel is formed by a process wherein (A) an OH-group containing polyesterimide containing substantially no free COOH groups, which is prepared by reacting at least one each of an aromatic tricarboxylic acid monoanhydride, a diamine, a diol and an isocyanurate ring-containing triol, and optionally an aromatic diacid or diester, is reacted at 50 to 250‹ C. with 5 to 30 wt. per cent of (B) an amino-alcohol to form a product which is miscible with water without precipitation, and diluting it with water to a room temperature viscosity of 100 to 10,000 mPa s. Reference is made to Specifications 1,095,633 and 973,377.
