Abstract

Procedure for the manufacture of water-soluble dielectric varnishes; preferably of enamels for yarns on the basis of polyesterimides, which have been made of aromatic tricarboxylic acid monoanhydrides, preferably of equivalent amounts of diamines, of diols and of a triolene comprising an isocyanurate ring characterized in that the polyesterimides with a content of hydroxylic groups are reacted at temperatures between 50 and 250ºC where appropriate with additional use of 5 to 20% by weight of the auxiliary solvents based on the polyester ester together with known amines in an amount of 5 to 30% by weight, preferably 20-30% by weight based on the polyester ester, the reaction product being diluted with water, where appropriate by the use of water-soluble enamelling catalysts, preferably with water-soluble titanates in amounts of 0.1 up to 5% with respect to the polyesterimide, in order to obtain a coating viscosity, that is, a viscosity that o scila enere 100 and 10,000 mPa/s.
