Svetsaggregatet eller svetsaggregaten kan vara vertikalt förflyttbara från aktivt läge för att på ett enkelt sätt medge intermittent skärning av materialbanan. Materialbanan kan bestå av andra elastiska material än plast eller av sammansatta skikt, såsom ett plast-nonwoven laminat.
