Abstract

1,072,780. Transistor oscillator circuits. RADIO CORPORATION OF AMERICA. Oct. 22, 1964 [Nov. 15, 1963], No. 43128/64. Heading H3T. The frequency of oscillation of a transistor oscillator is determined by a resonant line having a variable capacitor 80 at one end to adjust the oscillation frequency, and a shunt capacitor at the other to determine the minimum frequency of oscillation. This latter capacitor is formed in Fig. 4 by a metal strip 79 spaced from the end wall of the line. The transistor emitter and collector electrodes are coupled by lead-through capacitors 52, 66 to the cavity wall and the collector is weakly coupled to the cavity through loop 72. The output loop 82 feeding the frequency changer 82 is series resonated such that the output power. remains constant as the oscillator is tuned over its range. In Fig. 1 (not shown) the collector is connected to the inner. conductor (through a capacitor (44)) and the emitter is connected to a point along the outer conductor.
