Abstract
966,179. Transposed conductors for dynamoelectric machines. LICENTIA PATENTVERWALTUNGS-G.m.b.H. July 17, 1963 [July 18, 1962], No. 28303/63. Heading H2A. A transposed conductor for wide slots is divided into three radial ranks I, II, III and the conductors of each rank penetrate the other two ranks during the transposition. The conductors 6-10 of the central rank each penetrate one of the outer ranks I and III over the interlacing section and return to their original positions before transposition. The conductors 1-5 and 11-15 of the outer ranks, each penetrate each of the three ranks during transposition and by the end of the interlacing section assume the same vertical sequence but are in reversed places. The transposition is through 360 degrees and cooling channels may be provided between the ranks or through the conductors themselves.
