Abstract
966,178. Transposed conductors for dynamoelectric machines. LICENTIA PATENTVERWALTUNGS-G.m.b.H. July 17, 1963 [July 18, 1962], No. 28302/63. Heading H2A. A transposed conductor for wide slots is divided into four radial ranks I, II, III, IV, (instead of the more usual two), the conductors 1-8 of the inner ranks being transposed between themselves, and the conductors a-e of the outer ranks also being transposed between themselves around the inner conductors. Both transpositions are preferably 540 degrees as shown, and cooling channels may be provided between some of the ranks or the conductors may be hollow to form cooling passages.
