يتعلق الاختراع الحالي بعملية لتحضير محفز تكسير بالهيدروجين hydrocracking catalyst، تشتمل على (1) ملامسة جسم مُشكّل يشتمل على زيوليت zeolite وعامل ربط binder بمحلول مائي aqueous solution من مركب فلز هدرجة hydrogenation metal compound يكون عبارة عن معقد أو ملح من فلز هدرجة لترسيب فلز الهدرجة على الجسم المُشكّل، حيث يشتمل المحلول المائي على ملح أمونيوم ammonium salt و (2) تحميص الجسم المُشكّل الذي تم الحصول عليه بواسطة الخطوة (1).
