Abstract

FIELD: towing submersible vehicles. SUBSTANCE: submersible vehicle to be towed is positioned after stern of towship and is oriented by its stern forward in way of motion after which submersible vehicle and towship are connected by means of rope. In course of towing the submersible vehicle, speed is smoothly increased from 10 to 30 knots and dynamic lift force is created under bottom of submersible vehicle; separated flow is created around the fore extremity. Upon arrival to assigned point, submersible vehicle is separated from the towship. Proposed method is realized by means of submersible vehicle intended for tourism, recreation and for performing underwater jobs. Submersible vehicle has streamlined outer hull with hard chine bottom portion. Bilges of bottom portion have rise towards aft extremity and lines of fore extremity are engageable with bottom portion lines between bilges. EFFECT: high speed at retained good sea-going qualities in towing the vehicle in submerged position at slow speed. 3 cl, 1 dwg

Claims (1)

The method of towing an underwater vehicle, which consists in the fact that the first towed underwater vehicle is installed behind the norm of the tugboat and is oriented with its stern forward in the direction of travel; after that, the tugboat and the underwater vehicle are interconnected using a tow rope. Then, in the process of towing, gradually increasing the speed of movement, in the range of towing speeds of 10-30 knots under the underwater vehicle bottom in the zone of the aft end create dynamic lifting force, in the zone of the fore end create a tear-off flow around the hull with water. After arriving at a given place, the underwater vehicle is disconnected from the tugboat. The specified method is implemented using an underwater vehicle designed for tourism, recreation or underwater work and containing a streamlined outer casing with a sharp-pointed bottom. In this case, the cheekbones of the bottom part are made to rise toward the aft end, and the contours of the nasal tip between the lines of the cheekbones of the bottom part are connected with the contours of the last crowbar. This design of the device allows, while maintaining good driving performance of the device when moving underwater in the normal mode at low speed, at the same time, in the surface position, towing the device to the place of immersion or to the place of permanent basing at a very high speed.
