Abstract
FIELD: electrolytic processes and equipment. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to replacing anodes when aluminium smelt is subjected to electrolysis with heat recovery. According to invention, new carbon anodes disposed on anode rods are heated using residual heat of anode remainder taken out from fusion and/or from hot fusion material taken out from fusion, whereupon new anodes are brought hot to the fusion. To recover heat and perform heat exchange, multicellular heat exchanger can be utilized. EFFECT: reduced power consumption. 1 dwg
