Apparatus has diamond orienting mechanism and acoustic emission recorder connected to indication system and formed as piezoelectric element which is in acoustic contact with diamond. According to first variant, piezoelectric element is fixed on diamond orienting mechanism and according to second variant, orienting mechanism is fixed on working members of table body. EFFECT: increased efficiency, reduced processing time, increased precision of diamond orienting during working and provision for automated process. 5 cl, 6 dwg

Изобретение относится к технологии обработки ювелирных камней, может быть использовано при создании автоматизированного оборудования. Способ заключается в том, что перед выполнением операций по механической обработке поверхности ювелирных камней регистрируют сигналы акустической эмиссии из зоны обработки, а окончательную обработку камней ведут с учетом критерия, основанного на величинах измеренных сигналов акустической эмиссии (АЭ). Устройство для ориентации алмаза при обработке включает механизм ориентации алмаза и регистратор АЭ, подключенный к системе индикации и выполненный в виде пьезоэлемента, имеющего акустический контакт с алмазом. По первому варианту пьезоэлемент закреплен на механизме ориентации, а по второму варианту - на рабочих элементах корпуса стола. Изобретение позволяет сократить время и повысить точность ориентации алмаза при обработке, а также автоматизировать данный процесс.The invention relates to a technology for processing jewelry stones, can be used to create automated equipment.
