Abstract

FIELD: methods of treatment of wastes presented in the form of sodium sulfate by reaction of exchange with potassium chloride with production of potassium sulfate in presence of water. SUBSTANCE: reaction of exchange is exercised in one stage under temperature of 5 - 50 C and mainly - 20 - 30 C with production of suspension of potassium sulfate and KSO- mother liquor, composition of which in terms of 1000 kmole of HO corresponds to the following: 11.5 - 15.0 kmole of NaCl, 2.4 - 3.0 kmole of NaSOand 23. 0 - 43.6 kmole of KCl;. Formed potassium sulfate is separated from potassium sulfate mother liquor and dried and potassium sulfate mother liquor is mixed with KCl - NaCl mixture, especially with KCl - NaCl crystallizate in the qualitative ratio, that allows to produce pure potassium chloride crystallizate and saturated KCl and almost saturated NaCl solution. In the case if it is necessary formed KCl crystallite is as a whole or partially introduced as raw material in stage of potassium sulfate production and / or formed saturated KCl and almost saturated NaCl solution are fed in circulation of raw potassium salts processing aggregate solution. EFFECT: improved process.

Claims (1)

The invention relates to a method for treating waste in the form of sodium sulfate by an exchange reaction with potassium chloride to produce potassium sulfate in the presence of water. The exchange reaction is carried out in one stage at a temperature of 5-50 ° C, in particular 20-30 ° C, to obtain a suspension of potassium sulfate and K 2 SO 4 - mother liquor, the composition of which, based on 1000 kmol of H 2 O, corresponds to the following: 11.5 - 15.0 kmol Na 2 Cl 2 , 2.4 - 3.0 kmol Na 2 SO 4 and 23.0 - 43.6 kmol K 2 Cl 2 ; the resulting potassium sulfate is separated from the mother liquor of potassium sulfate and dried, and the mother liquor of potassium sulfate is mixed with a KCl - NaCl mixture, in particular with a KCl - NaCl crystallizer in such a proportion that a pure crystalline potassium chloride and saturated KCl and almost saturated NaCl are formed a solution, moreover, if necessary, the formed KCl crystallisate is introduced, in whole or in part, in the form of raw materials, into the stage of potassium sulfate production and / or the formed saturated KCl and almost saturated NaCl solution are fed into circulation of the solution of the plant for the processing of raw potash salts.
