Abstract
FIELD: analytical chemistry of organic compounds. SUBSTANCE: method consists in extracting p-cresol from analyzed sample by hydrophylic solvent, in particular 4-butyrolacton, in presence of salting out agent, in particular 35.5-43.5 wt % ammonium sulfate, and subsequent determination of p-cresol in the extract using potentiometric titration technique. EFFECT: increased by one third completeness of p-cresol extraction at hundredfold concentration, increased accuracy and selectivity of the analysis, and simplified process due to elimination of re-extraction step.

Изобретение относится к аналитической химии органических соединений и может быть использовано для контроля за содержанием п-крезола в водных растворах. Цель изобретения - увеличение на 30% полноты извлечения п-крезола при 100 - кратном концентрировании, повышение точности и селективности определения п-крезола, упрощение определения за счет исключения стадии реэкстракции. Сущность изобретения заключается в том, что определение п-крезола в водных растворах осуществляется путем экстракции из анализируемой пробы гидрофильным растворителем в присутствии высаливателя и последующим определением п-крезола. В качестве экстрагента используется 4-бутиролактон (5 - 25 мл), а в качестве высаливателя сульфат аммония 35,5 - 43,0 мас.%. Определение п-крезола проводят методом потенциометрического титрования экстракта.The invention relates to analytical chemistry of organic compounds and can be used to control the content of p-cresol in aqueous solutions. The determination of p-cresol is carried out by potentiometric titration of the extract.
