Abstract

FIELD: meteorology. SUBSTANCE: method is used for elimination of such meteorological objects as fog and clouds above airports, highways, for production of agricultural areas against excess of rain or hail. Method involves generation of controlled flow of charged particles by means of corona discharge wires, control of its direction and intensity and simultaneous generation of controlled electric field which is located in this flow. Method involves use of regular meteorological investigations and data from meteorological stations before generation. Then when cloud front is detected or information about possibility for generation is received from meteorological stations, then flow of charged particles is generated and directed to area which is free of meteorological objects. In addition method involves generation of additional flows of charged particles which are directed to adjacent areas which are free of both meteorological objects and main flow of charged particles. EFFECT: increased efficiency of acting against meteorological objects by prevention of unwanted rain, decreased time for fog and cloud scattering, decreased use of electric power.

Claims (1)

The invention relates to the field of meteorology and can be used to eliminate meteorological formations, namely fogs and clouds, mainly over airfields, highways, protect agricultural land from excessive rainfall or hail. The aim of the invention is to increase the effectiveness of active influence on meteorological formations by preventing undesirable cases of precipitation, reducing the time of dispersion of fogs and clouds, as well as reducing unnecessary costs of electrical energy. Achieving a positive effect is ensured by the sequence of actions on a material object, which consists in the generation of a controlled flow of electrically charged particles by the corona wires, control of its directivity and intensity, while creating an electric field that is adjustable in sign and magnitude, located in this stream. Before the start of generation, meteorological studies of the atmosphere are carried out at the same time and communication with meteorological stations is established. Then, at the time of detecting a cloud front or receiving a signal from the stations about the conditions for fog formation, a stream of electrically charged particles is generated, orienting the stream into the atmosphere-free zone of meteorological formations. At the same time, additional flows of electrically charged particles are formed, directing them to adjacent zones of the atmosphere free of meteorological formations and the flow of charged particles.
