Abstract
FIELD: meteorology. SUBSTANCE: method includes radiolocation uncovering clouds with electric field intensity of 100 kV/m and higher, and injection current conducting bodies into these clouds to initiate artificial linear lightning. EFFECT: decreased hail size resulted from freezing overcooled drops located in zones of hail origination and growth under effect of electric field intensity in streaming zone of the leader of the lightning being initiated, that achieves 300 - 500 kV/m.
