Abstract

FIELD: industrial inorganic chemicals. SUBSTANCE: brine is set free from alkali metals, magnesium, and alkali-earth metals by way of passing through brine layer lithium selective inorganic sorbent. Sorbed lithium chloride is washed away with water and simultaneously concentrated 10-20-fold (residual content of alkali and alkali-earth metals do not exceed 0.05 g/l). Resultant lithium chloride solution is converted in electrodialysis apparatus at current density 0.5-2.3 A/sq.dm into lithium hydroxide solution. The latter is concentrated in electrodialysis apparatus and partially evaporated to give LiOH•HO (or LiCO) crystals. Summary impurity content in dry product does not exceed 0.113%. Method is applicable to any chloride solutions with high sodium, magnesium, and calcium content. EFFECT: achieved simplicity and versatility of procedure.

Claims (1)

Изобретение относится к химической технологии получения соединений лития, в частности к способу получения гидроксида лития или солей лития из природных рассолов. Цель изобретения - упрощение способа и его универсальность, а также исключение использования химических реагентов для очистки рассола от магния и щелочноземельных металлов. Технический результат достигается тем, что очистку рассола от щелочных металлов, магния и щелочноземельных металлов осуществляют, пропуская его через слой селективного на литий неорганического сорбента; сорбированный хлорид лития элюируют водой с одновременным его концентрированием в 10 - 20 раз (остаточное содержание щелочных и щелочноземельных металлов не превышает 0,05 г/л); полученный раствор хлорида лития подвергают конверсии в электродиализном аппарате при плотности тока 0,5 - 2,3 А/дм2 с получением раствора гидроксида лития (соли лития). Далее раствор концентрируют в электродиализном аппарате и подвергают частичному упариванию для кристаллизации LiOH•H2O (или Li2CO3). Суммарное количество примесей в составе сухого продукта не превышает 0,113 %. Способ применим к хлоридным рассолам любого типа с высоким содержанием натрия, магния и кальция.The invention relates to chemical technology for producing lithium compounds, in particular to a method for producing lithium hydroxide or lithium salts from natural brines. The technical result is achieved in that the cleaning of the brine from alkali metals, magnesium and alkaline earth metals is carried out by passing it through a layer of selective inorganic sorbent for lithium; sorbed lithium chloride is eluted with water while concentrating it 10 to 20 times (the residual content of alkali and alkaline earth metals does not exceed 0.05 g / l); the resulting solution of lithium chloride is subjected to conversion in an electrodialysis apparatus at a current density of 0.5 - 2.3 A / dm 2 to obtain a solution of lithium hydroxide (lithium salt). The solution is then concentrated in an electrodialysis apparatus and partially evaporated to crystallize LiOH • H 2 O (or Li 2 CO 3 ). The total amount of impurities in the composition of the dry product does not exceed 0.113%. The method is applicable to chloride brines of any type with a high content of sodium, magnesium and calcium.
