The invention relates to the field of crop production, namely to methods of growing Stevia Stevia rebaudianaBertoni L., obtained in an in vitro culture. The purpose of the invention is to accelerate the process of refining stevia plants obtained in culture in vitro, while maintaining their survival. The method consists in the fact that the plants are planted in a substrate, watered abundantly, covered with a transparent film and adapted to the environmental conditions. Plants are planted in size 5-6 cm, soil and sand are used as a substrate in equal ratio, which is placed in a container with a layer of gravel at the bottom 2-3 cm thick, 10-12 days after planting plants are decapitated and grown to standard under conditions 16 -hour photoperiod at a temperature of 21-23 o C, humidity 70% and illumination of 15-17 klx.
