Способ относится к строительству, в частности защите фундаментов, расположенных в пучинистых грунтах, от действия на них касательных сил морозного выпучивания, и может быть использован для ремонта разрушенных фундаментов, мостовых опор, свай. Способ защиты заключается в том, что вокруг фундамента (опоры, сваи) размещают защитный пояс в виде металлического кожуха с ножевой секцией, на наружную поверхность которого наносят несмерзающуюся смазку и обворачивают его рулонным гидроизоляционным материалом. Затем пояс погружают методом задавливания на глубину, превышающую глубину сезонного промерзания на высоту ножа.
