Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a sand ground from liquefaction as well as to prevent a structure from sinking and break down by a method wherein good permeable drain pile made of pebbles, fine stones, sludge and the like are driven into a sand ground where there is a fear of liquefaction and the surge of a gap water pressure during an earthquake is prevented and vanished.
CONSTITUTION: A casing 10 wherein a cover 11 in a free opening and closing type is installed at the point part and the cover closes during the driving in and it opens during pulling up in suspending with its own weight, is driven into a given place of a foundation ground by means of a vibration generator 12 such as a vibrohammer, etc. After a given length of the casing is driven into the ground, materials 13 for forming a drain pile such as pebbels, fine stones, sludge, etc. are cast into the casing 10 and it is pulled out. By repeating this operation, two or more drain piles are driven into the foundation ground. When the ground receives a shearing stress during an earthquake, the gap water pressure surges, however, since excellent permeable drain pile 13 as these are arranged at sporadic places, the surging water pressure is vanished through the drain piles and the excessive water pressure in a gap is prevented from occurrence.
