Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the frost heaving of a pile and protect a structure by a method wherein the pile, a diameter thereof is reduced at the earth's surface side and increased at the underground side and a change of the diameter thereof is executed to the full length or one section, is used.
CONSTITUTION: A diameter of a tapered pile 21 is reduced at the earth's surface side and increased at the underground side. To bury the tapered pile 21, the tapered pile 21 is inserted into a preboring pit 15, and back-filling by slurry-shaped earth and sand is conducted between the pile 21 and a pit wall. When the ground freezes, freezing expansion develops in the direction rectangular to a freezing surface 16. The freezing surface 16 develops in parallel with the earth's surface 17 under natural conditions, and freezing expansion at that time is generated only in the vertical direction.
