A method for the treatment of diabetes. Based on the use of two hemocarboperfusions with the use of ozonized sorbent with an interval between treatments of at least 5 to 7 days. This causes labile glycemia with a decline in blood sugar levels by a 6-day post-Popn. Then, in order to consolidate and enhance (accelerate) the effect, a course introduction of dissolved ozone into the blood is carried out at a dose of 0.0002 - 0.3 mg per 1 kg of the patient's body weight every 3 to 15 days at least 4 to 6 times. This leads to a persistent sugar-lowering effect and reduction of diabetic complications (angiopathy, retino-nephropathy), i.e. to therapeutic effect in relation to diabetes.
