Beam 1 passes through lug 8, which is fixed at post 9 being put on stand 10. The latter is attached to spider. Lever 17 is put on hexahedral beam 1. Unit 18 provided with ratchet wheel and axis with handle 19, is mounted et the end of lever 17. Rope 20 is reeled upon unit 18. End of rope 20 is fastened to clamping bracket 21. Grooved plate 23 is fixed at one end 22 of the bracket, the other end 22 is made in form of threaded pipe for screw 25. The screw rests with end against grooved plate 26 disposed at the shin in opposition to plate 23. After the device is adjusted to healthy lower extremity of patient, the extremity is taken away from apparatus, and hardening lining-free boot-type plaster cast is put onto foot and shin of traumatised extremity. Until the cast hardens, damaged extremity is placed into apparatus once more in such a manner, that under-knee stop should stand under proximal department of shin at the level of head of fibula and be gripped from inside and outside by grips 28 and 29. In this case foot should lie onto under-foot support 3 and rest with heel against heel rest 4. When desired position is achieved, pressure is applied to front surface of shin by "P" strength by means of Z-shaped grips 28 and 29 and rest 42, fastened to arm 40 by pressing with hand against arm 40. As a result, internal surface of boot-type plaster cast is modelled ideally at three support areas of proximal department of shin at the area of unevenness of shin-bone, as well as along back-internal surface of internal part of shin, and along back-internal surface of external part of shin to make bridge with head of fibula in form of triangle. Pressing bracket 21 is applied to plaster cast with two plates 23 and 26 in such a manner, that both plates should press shin at both sides. After plaster cast is hardened, clamping bracket 21 and plates 23, 26 are removed, and the device is removed either. Patient remains in lining-free circular boot-type plaster cast till consolidation of area of break ensues at the area of break. EFFECT: improved fixing action of cast at proximal part of shin.
