Claims (1)

Combustion air is supplied through primary, secondary and tertiary passages to form different combustion zones for complete combustion. The air supply rate for the combustion zone is controlled by the ventilation flap in accordance with the combustion characteristics. The angular and axial positions of the diffuser and the ventilation flap controlling the air for the combustion zone can be automatically adjusted over the entire combustion range of the burner in accordance with the required levels. In order to convert existing burners into an efficient low NO x burner, the primary air chamber can be upgraded to the main burner chamber. In another embodiment, the flue gas is recycled and mixed directly with the combustible fuel before combustion with reduced emissions.
