The method of lengthening the thigh relates to medicine, in particular to traumatology and orthopedics, and can be used in osteoplastic surgery. The proposed method allows to provide high strength and functional stability of the femur fragments with its axial and rotational loads, improves the conditions for maturation of the regenerate, and also accelerates the process of treating patients. The method of lengthening the femur implies that the longitudinal osteotomy line is carried out in an oblique direction, while the base of the “legs” of the femur fragments increases in diameter and becomes strong. This is proven in the experiment and confirmed clinically.
