Предложенное решение предназначено преимущественно для прокладки нефтегазопроводов по морскому грунту и имеет цель повысить эффективность и экономичность прокладки трубопровода за счет уменьшения объема земляных работ и требуемых технических средств. Эта цель достигается совмещением операций прорывки траншеи в морском грунте и укладки в нее трубопровода одним земснарядом при его поступательном перемещении и сбросом вынутого из траншеи грунта по обе стороны траншеи без его подъема на поверхность. Устройство для осуществления этого способа выполнено в виде вращающегося ковшового барабана и клинообразного отвала выходящего из ковшей грунта, установленных на поворотной раме.
