Устройство состоит из гидропровода, соединяющего выход третьей секции с входом первой секции левиафана, над которым смонтирован перфорированный конвейер с установленными над ним механическими форсунками и подъемными валиками, в средней секции левиафана над конвейером и подъемными валиками расположены механические и паровые форсунки, соединенные с гидро-и паропроводами. На выходе третьей секции левиафана установлены отжимные валы. Обработка шерсти осуществляется в три этапа. В первой секции грязная шерсть подвергается замачиванию раствором с помощью форсунок, соединенных с гидропроводом из третьей секции. Во второй секции осуществляется интенсивная очистка шерсти в режиме пароэмульсионного душа, создаваемого паровыми форсунками, при этом подъемные валики поддерживают слой шерсти во взвешенном состоянии, что способствует легкому и быстрому удалению расплавленных жировых веществ и твердых инородных примесей. Прополаскивание шерсти осуществляется в третьей секции с помощью механических форсунок. На выходе секции установлены отжимные валы для удаления избытка влаги в волокне.
