The device relates to the field of engine development, in particular to internal combustion engines of the rotary-piston type. The rotary-piston type internal combustion engine design allows to simplify the mechanical system of the engine, increases its reliability, improves balance, increases efficiency by reducing the mass of parts moving reciprocating, use the principles of continued expansion and reduce the amount of harmful emissions per unit of useful work. In an internal combustion engine of a rotor-piston type, the piston is made in the form of a cylinder coaxial to the rotor with radial grooves that divide the piston section into equal sectors in which the plates are fixed with the possibility of their radial movement along the grooves that divide the space between the piston and the inner surface of the stator into the working chambers, and the inner surface of the stator is made on an irregular closed curve, adequate to the change in the volume of the working chambers in accordance with the timing of the engine, while em working chamber at the time of completion of the stroke "stroke" is greater than the volume of the working chamber at the time of completion of the stroke "suction".
